Lena Hudson is a writer, actor and 2020 Sundance Fellow based in Brooklyn, NY.

Lena is a two-time 2020 Sundance Fellow, supported by both the 2020 Episodic Lab and the Episodic Makers Lab with her series FANTASIA FOR YOU, which she co-created with frequent collaborator Jessie Barr based on their short film, TOO LONG AT THE FAIR. Lena co-wrote, co-directed, produced and stars in the short opposite Chris Messina and Jessie Barr. TOO LONG AT THE FAIR had its world premiere at the Oscar qualifying 2018 L.A. Shorts International Film Festival and screened at festivals around the world before premiering online via Short of the Week.

Lena's solo clown cabaret, SHOWWOMANSHIP, has played to sold out crowds at the Fresh Ground Pepper Festival and Dixon Place, it is directed by and developed with Jess Chayes (HOME/SICK). SHOWWOMANSHIP is a side-splitting one woman clown odyssey about the greatest showbiz diva you've never heard of. The piece was developed through FGP's Playground Playgroup Writer's Lab.

As an actor she has developed work with Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, Clubbed Thumb, New Georges, Fresh Ground Pepper, La MaMa and Theatre Reconstruction Ensemble, among others. She recently starred in the Barrymore Award Nominated Birds of North America by Anna Moench. Her performance as Rosealia in Pipeline Theatre's production of Folk Wandering, was called "comic and...enchanting" by The New York Times. Some of her credits include: Kitchen Sink Experiment(s) (Crashbox Theater), DEBUTANTE (Ars Nova), You On The Moors Now (HERE Arts), Cowboy Mouth (Red Room), Valhalla (Secret Theatre), The Collected Rules of Gifted Camp (The Brick), and Oil of Olé! (La MaMa). She can also be seen in the critically acclaimed online series OM CITY .

Most recently, Lena worked as a producer on the feature film Ghostwritten. Directed by Thomas Matthews and starring Jay Duplass, Maria Dizzia, Kate Lyn Sheil and Thomas J. Ryan, currently in post-production.
